OK, here's something I have just finally debugged... Add the info as
you need to whatever help lists you may have....

If you are behind a "Proxy" server/firewall, then that automated
download within UiView, may never succeed, as all it will receive is the
Proxy's web page telling you that you need to authenticate, or some such
text, if as most are, the proxy does not allow "helper" applications to
access the 'net. All HTML text of course, just to rub salt in the
wound...

The reason, is that the actual program that does the download is called
"Project1" and the Proxy does not know about that, as it is spawned as a
separate process by UiView, with it's credentials. As it's name is
different, it is refused access.

I've just spent over an hour finally figuring this out, with the help of
a number of network spy/capture tools. So beware, if you try to update
your server list from behind a corporate proxy/firewall, it may not
succeed!.... This may also (as I think it does) affect some private
users, depending on how their ISP handles such things.

I finally ran the thing remotely from my home PC (24/7 behind a NAT
router) via a VPN from here (don't ask, way to complicated to explain)
where that system also stalled at first, till I opened a remote access
program and saw that ZoneAlarm (belt n braces) was whinging on about a
"New" program "Project1" trying to access the internet. Once I gave it
permission, it ran OK, and I now have the updated list of servers.

I've only being trying to do this for the last month or two, from here
at work during lunchtimes....

The fact that you can download and read the server list in the browser,
is because it's the main program itself (IE, Netscape, Firefox,
whatever) that makes the request, and accepts the incoming data, not any
"Helper" program in the background.

Of course, you could copy/paste all that info into UiView's ini file,
but you have to manually add the SERVER1 etc label's at the beginning of
the line then. One false typo and ?????

Oh the fun of it all... NOT!
